2. APPROVED MUSIC
This music is not CC-Licensed, but it has the written approval ("license" in this case) from the creator (RIGHT OWNER). This license may be free of charge or carries a small fee.
Approved music is also royalty free (ONLY WITH written statement by the creator!). If you don't have such a statement or you are not sure what license this piece has, refrain from using it.
Apple Computers claims that their iLife loops can be used in any production. The reality is that an entity called "The Ochard Music" claims some pieces of music via Content ID on Youtube. Though it's granted via the SLA in the section 2.C, I would suggest to refrain from using such music. Content ID can destroy your Youtube account, since there is no human working behind this programme to crosscheck which claim is right or wrong. Nobody controls that programme. The only thing you can do is to remove that video from your channel.

3. No gos
The majority music around us is copyrighted by US and international. So if you've heard a great smashing song on your radio or just bought an CD with your music in, you have only acquired the right to listen to the music and make copies for your own needs (even this may not be allowed). The same goes for music from music stores like iTunes. Though music is cheap there, you can't convert the files into MP3 and use it in your videos. If you are being caught on Youtube with COPYRIGHTED MUSIC, the right owner has the right to file a DMCA-Complain (Digital Millenium Copyright Act) against you. This equals a strike. 3 Strikes and you are officially banned from using Youtube. Along to music, you can also held accountable for copyrighted films and still frames. Other nations may have other laws regarding this issue, but since Youtube is hosted in the United States, US-law is valid here.
Music/Videos that will be blocked on Youtube are from these companies (with strike and muted soundtrack):
  • Universial Music Group
  • Sony Music Entertainment
  • Some Japanese companies
Violations against the TOS of Youtube:
  • Sexual Content
  • Animal Abuse
  • No Accidents (graphic issues)
  • Misleading meta data.
